Directing Attention to Water
Islamic Relief's Commitment to Water Initiatives
Enhancing Safe Drinking Water Access in South Africa
Islamic Relief is working to increase access to safe drinking water in South Africa. Through comprehensive training programs on hygiene best practices, we aim to reduce the risk of waterborne diseases, promoting a healthier and more resilient community.
Transforming WASH Infrastructure in South Sudan
In Western Bahr El Ghazal, Warrap, and Central Equatoria states in South Sudan, Islamic Relief is dedicated to improving Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) infrastructure. Our efforts include establishing sustainable water sources for both drinking and agricultural practices, fostering long-term sustainability and community well-being.
Elevating WASH Standards for Displaced Populations in Sudan
Islamic Relief is committed to enhancing the WASH status of internally displaced people and returnees in Sudan. Through the rehabilitation and construction of hand pumps, hand-washing facilities, and sanitation facilities, along with the distribution of gender-sensitive hygiene kits for young girls, we aim to create a more dignified and sanitary environment in the states of Blue Nile, Greater Kordofan, and Darfur.
